A handsome Sterling silver pair of George I style three-light English hallmarked candelabra, having plain round baluster bodies, fixed arms with drip pans, and central finial that can be removed to uncover the third candle holder.
Made by Richard Comyns, London in 1954.
Dimensions of this fine hand-made pair of silver candelabra are height 8″, maximum width 9.25″.
The pair weigh a total of 850 grams = 27.35 troy oz = 30 regular ounces.
Please note that these candelabra are not weighted or filled, they are just sterling silver, including the original, central, removable finials.

Set Of 4 William Gould Cast Sterling Silver Candlesticks George II, 1749
An extremely good set of four cast silver George II candlesticks. Marked to the underside for London 1749 by William Gould. Also marked to each capital. The bases are engraved with a crest of a raised fist holding a five-pointed star. The underside of each stick also carries the original scratch weight.
These are an extremely unusual set of candlesticks in a very attractive and highly unusual pattern. They are in original unrestored condition with only very minor wear to the high points. The marks are clear although the marks to the capitals are slightly worn. Exceptionally good weight of and very robust gauge silver. William Gould was a specialist candlestick maker and these are a wonderful example of his highly skilled silversmithing.

La Paglia Sterling Silver Pr. 2 Light Candelabra. 7.5″ High x 10″ Wide.
Made in 1940 by Alphonse La Paglia, these elegant sterling silver pair of 2 light candelabra are part of a collection designed by La Paglia called Spring Glory, the graceful swirls depict a stylized tulip bud known as the fleur danoise, or Danish flower, influenced by his time studying in Denmark.
Candelabra are both marked on the underside “International Sterling – La Paglia Designed – 139 16
These are all silver, not weighted or filled.
Approx. Measurements: 7.5″ high. 10″ wide. 4.2” diameter of foot.
Weight for the pair: 1146 grams = 36.85 troy oz = 40.42 regular ounces.
Alphonse La Paglia was born in Sicily in 1907, he studied silversmithing in Denmark with Georg Jensen. By the early 1940’s he had arrived in New York and was creating jewelry and silverware for Fredrick Lunning (soon to become Georg Jensen USA Inc). By 1952 La Paglia is well established as a modernist designer of silver & jewelry, and with Kurt Eric Christofferson formed The International Sterling Crafts Associates. Unfortunately, in 1953 La Paglia died, leaving his designs in the hands of International, who continued to use his designs until 1957

Pr. antique, sterling silver 5 light candelabra made by Gorham, dated 1912. The candelabra stand 16″ high. The branches can be detached so you then have a pair of candlesticks, 10.5″ tall. The candelabra are complete with all the removable bobeche.
No monograms, initials or removals. Each pair is marked on the underside with the Gorham markings, and also the ‘fish’ mark which dates them to 1912. Model number A6438

Fantastic Pair Sterling Silver Gilt, Cast & Chased Candelabra
EXCEPTIONAL PAIR OF CAST & CHASED VICTORIAN SILVER-GILT FOUR-LIGHT CANDELABRA. CHARLES STUART HARRIS, LONDON, 1897. Each on shaped circular spreading base formed of a mingled mass of scroll work, shells, flowers & foliage. The shaft like a striated tree trunk, decorated near the bottom with a knop of owls’ heads, above which are two dolphins, seperated by shells, their bodies twisted and their tails standing erect and free from the shaft. Above is a vase shaped candle socket with a circular dish shaped wax pan ornamented on the underside with bulrushes and on the upper side with foliated scrolls, foliage etc. The detachable three branches formed as double scrolls with vase shaped candle sockets and circular drip pans ornamented on the underside with eagles and on the upper side with foliage etc. The complex design of these candelabra incorporating revived baroque and rococo elements was first introduced during the Regency era by silversmiths such as Paul Storr. The most elaborate version of this design, a set of three- seven- and eight-light candelabra dating to 1813, is illustrated in M. Penzer, Paul Storr, 1954, page 164. Exceptional quality and style.
