The London hallmark also has the optional sovereign/jubilee mark which was used by assay offices for 1933/4 & 1934/5 to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of George V & Queen Mary; the mark actually contains profiles of both. Hallmarked on the body & the rim of the pull-off lid. The maker’s mark of RWB was Richard Woodman Burbridge, who was chairman of Harrods. The Harrods name is fully marked on the underside. Shaker stands at 8″ tall. Weight: 305 grams = 9.80 troy oz = 10.75 regular ounces. A good Georgian style. Great quality, maker & condition. Stunning and exceptional quality, antique sterling silver cast and pierced border tray. Made by Shreve & Co. in San Francisco, circa 1910. The border is beautifully cast and pierced and the centre of the tray has hand engraved decoration to match. Great as a bar tray, serving tray, coffee tray, fruit or food platter. A multitude of uses and also very decorative when not in use as a centrepiece. Tray measures 30.65″ x 17.50″ x 1.75″ high. Tray weighs 4865 grams.

The lid & collar detach, and you can use the metal wirework insert for flowers, or without the insert as a fruit bowl, cooler or centerpiece. It can also be used with the collar only, as a slightly taller centerpiece or jardinière. And then complete with the lid, it can be used as a soup tureen or just as a decorative centerpiece. Exceptional quality and condition. Cast shell and gadroon shaped border, applied shells on stippled body, cast foot, handles and finial. With a good quality heavy gilding, in and out. All parts are sterling silver, except the wirework insert, and all the parts are hallmarked.

Antique German, “800” silver gravy or sauce boat on stand. Beautiful hand chased body, standing on four feet, attached to the under tray. The tray with an applied border with hand chased decoration. Made by Gebruder Friedlander, Berlin, circa 1890s. Friedlander brothers, a family firm of gold and silversmith founded in 1829, and eventual became royal jewelers. Four generations later, the business eventually closing in 1929, when they fled Germany.

Hand Engraved Coat Of Arms On One Side Of Body & On Cover 16.5″ x 9.5″ x 10″ High. Weighs 3,345 Grams Tétard Frères, founded by Hugo Tétard in 1851 and from 1880 run by Edmond Tétard. After Edmond’s death in 1901 the company was continued by his sons Henri, Jacques and Georges when it took the name Tétard Frères. Valérie Bizouard and Louis Tardy joined the firm in 1919. (Bizouard was the director of the assay office until 1936; Tardy – presumably the same Tardy of the European mark book – succeeded him until 1959.)
