Sterling Silver Sugar Shaker / Muffineer. Harrods Of London. Jubilee Mark 1933

English sterling silver sugar shaker/muffineer, made by Harrods of London, dated 1933. The London hallmark also has the optional sovereign/jubilee mark which was used by assay offices for 1933/4 & 1934/5 to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of George V & Queen Mary; the mark actually contains profiles of both. Hallmarked on the body & the rim of the pull-off lid. The maker’s mark of RWB was Richard Woodman Burbridge, who was chairman of Harrods. The Harrods name is fully marked on the underside. Shaker stands at 8″ tall. Weight: 305 grams = 9.80 troy oz = 10.75 regular ounces. A good Georgian style. Great quality, maker & condition. Antique Sterling Silver Large Tray, Shreve & Co, San Francisco

Stunning and exceptional quality, antique sterling silver cast and pierced border tray. Made by Shreve & Co. in San Francisco, circa 1910. The border is beautifully cast and pierced and the centre of the tray has hand engraved decoration to match. Great as a bar tray, serving tray, coffee tray, fruit or food platter. A multitude of uses and also very decorative when not in use as a centrepiece. Tray measures 30.65″ x 17.50″ x 1.75″ high. Tray weighs 4865 grams.

Unusual, Tiffany Sterling Silver Gilt Oval Centerpiece, Jardinière, Cooler, Tureen

Custom made, sterling silver gilt, oval centrepiece or tureen, made with removable parts so that it can be used for a multitude of uses. Soup tureen, centrepiece, wine or champagne cooler, punch bowl, jardinière, fruit bowl etc. Handmade, in London, England in a George I style, by Tiffany & Co, dated 1984. The lid & collar detach, and you can use the metal wirework insert for flowers, or without the insert as a fruit bowl, cooler or centerpiece. It can also be used with the collar only, as a slightly taller centerpiece or jardinière. And then complete with the lid, it can be used as a soup tureen or just as a decorative centerpiece. Exceptional quality and condition. Cast shell and gadroon shaped border, applied shells on stippled body, cast foot, handles and finial. With a good quality heavy gilding, in and out. All parts are sterling silver, except the wirework insert, and all the parts are hallmarked.

Antique English, Georgian, Sterling Silver Entree Dish & Cover With Heavy Applied Shell & Gadroon Border. The Handle On The Lid Unlocks & The Lid Can Be Used As A Second Dish. All Pieces Are Fully & Correctly Hallmarked. The Dish Is Hand Engraved On Both Sides Of The Lid With An Upstanding Lion Crest. George IV, 1826, Made By Waterhouse, Hodgson & Co, And Retailed In Dublin By West & Co.  12.25″ x 10″ x 5.5″ high.  Weighs 2,300 grams

Antique Silver Hand Chased, Gravy Boat on Stand

Antique German, “800” silver gravy or sauce boat on stand. Beautiful hand chased body, standing on four feet, attached to the under tray. The tray with an applied border with hand chased decoration. Made by Gebruder Friedlander, Berlin, circa 1890s. Friedlander brothers, a family firm of gold and silversmith founded in 1829, and eventual became royal jewelers. Four generations later, the business eventually closing in 1929, when they fled Germany.

Made In London 1912. The Pr. Of Dishes Can Be Used As A Set Of Four Dishes By Detaching The Handles. Lid, Base & Handles Are Hallmarked, And Original.  Garrard has a heritage unrivalled by any jewellery house today. Throughout its history, Garrard has had the honour of working closely with the British Royal Family, as well as many Royal families around the world. English, sterling silver asparagus tong with 12 individual asparagus eaters. Made by Garrards, The Crown Jewelers in the rare, Elizabethan Pattern. Each item is fully and correctly hallmarked, London, circa 1955. The server is 8 5/8″ long x 1″ wide. The eaters are 4.5″ long x 1.25″ wide.

Sterling Silver Bowl With Bateman Style Bright Cut Engraving – DUNHILL

An English sterling silver footed punch, fruit or centerpiece bowl by C J Vander made for the Dunhill Shop in London, decorated in the Hester Bateman style with a bright cut hand engraved decoration, oval cartouche on two sides with a beaded rim and foot. Gold washed interior. Hallmarked London 1973. Height 6 3/4″; diameter 11″; weight 1250 grams. Very good condition with no dents or damage and no monogram.  The English hallmarks are on the side of the bowl, and the Dunhill signature is on the underside of the bowl

A Good Quality, Antique French, Sterling Silver Soup Tureen. Made By Tetard Freres Of Paris. As Was Typical With Parisian Silversmiths, The Standard Of Silver Is Actually Higher Than Sterling ,  Which Is 925, It Is Actually 950 Standard.  Hallmarked On Body & Lid. Hand Engraved Coat Of Arms On One Side Of Body & On Cover 16.5″ x 9.5″ x 10″ High. Weighs 3,345 Grams Tétard Frères, founded by Hugo Tétard in 1851 and from 1880 run by Edmond Tétard. After Edmond’s death in 1901 the company was continued by his sons Henri, Jacques and Georges when it took the name Tétard Frères. Valérie Bizouard and Louis Tardy joined the firm in 1919. (Bizouard was the director of the assay office until 1936; Tardy – presumably the same Tardy of the European mark book – succeeded him until 1959.) The comapny made excellent Art Deco flatware and hollowware, and by the 1930s it ranked alongside Puiforcat, thanks mostly to the talents of Jean Tétard, the grandchild of firm founder Edmond Tétard.
