Antique English, Sterling Silver, Cast Border Tray

A superb quality twin-handled sterling silver tea or drinks tray of octagonal form. The cast and applied pierced border with undulating rim and floral decoration. The central plate with an intricately hand engraved border of flowers and foliage surrounding a contemporary monogram of an M. The two cast handles of richly detailed fruit and foliage supported by two bacchus masks to the underside. The whole standing on four bun feet.
