Made in 1940 by Alphonse La Paglia, these elegant sterling silver pair of 2 light candelabra are part of a collection designed by La Paglia called Spring Glory, the graceful swirls depict a stylized tulip bud known as the fleur danoise, or Danish flower, influenced by his time studying in Denmark. Candelabra are both marked on the underside “International Sterling – La Paglia Designed – 139 16 These are all silver, not weighted or filled. Approx. An unusual pair of antique American, sterling silver pastry/cake dishes made by Theodore B Starr, circa 1900. Each dish stands on 4 cast feet, and have a heavy & detailed floral decorated cast border. The center is plain. No monograms or initials. Very good condition.
