Very Large, Franklin Mint Bicentennial Sterling Silver Bowl. 5,315 Grams. 16″ Diameter.

The largest and heaviest silver bowl ever issued by the Franklin Mint, this bowl is an original work of art created for the Bicentennial celebration in 1976. It is crafted from over 170 troy oz of sterling silver and lined with 24kt gold. The sculptures around the Bowl show vignettes of 200 years of American history. 
The sculpted frieze running around the rim, depicting scenes starting at the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Other scenes include George Washington, Mayflower, Abraham Lincoln, Western settlers, Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, civil war, Model T Ford, flapper, crossing of continent by rail, age of invention, moon landing, Statue of Liberty
Limited Edition of 750, this bowl is numbered 642. 
The first bowl, numbered 1, was presented to President Gerald Ford, July 4th 1776.
This is a great way to combine investing in silver with having a unique and artistic collectible to display & use.
